10. Dancing Queen, Midnight Train to Georgia, Do You Know the Way to San Jose, Tulsa Time
We add the songs "Dancing Queen", "Midnight Train to Georgia", "Do You Know the Way to San Jose" and "Tulsa Time" to the List of Every Damn Thing.
Phil and Jake add a little rhythm to the List of Every Damn Thing by ranking four songs: “Dancing Queen” by ABBA, “Midnight Train to Georgia” by Gladys Knight & the Pips, “Do You Know the Way to San Jose” by Dionne Warwick, and “Tulsa Time” by Don Williams.

SHOW NOTES:
- Cardi B is America’s current sweetheart, having taken the crown from Baby Yoda. America’s sweetheart should get a belt to wear around like a heavyweight champ.
- Other ABBA songs discussed include “Super Trouper” (which is about a type of spotlight), “Waterloo”, “Gimme Gimme Gimme” and “Lay All Your Love On Me”.
- Phil compares "Dancing Queen" to contemporary American Disco songs such as “Hot Stuff” by Diana Ross, “Funky Town” by Lips Inc., “Le Freak” by Chic, and “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer.
- It's hard to find the Blender Magazine article in which John McCain cited "Dancing Queen" as his favorite song, but here's an NPR story that refers to it.
- We discuss Country / Soul crossovers, including Whitney Houston's version of Dolly Parton's “I Will Always Love You”, as well as Ray Charles' Country recordings and the Williie Nelson cover of “Georgia On My Mind”.
- "I've Been Everywhere" was written by Geoff Mack and was originally about Australian places. There are many recordings of this song, including a version about places in England & Scotland, and of course Johnny Cash's 1996 U.S. version.
- Phil & Jake got the relationship between Whitney Houston and Dionne Warwick wrong. Dionne was Whitney's cousin, not godmother. Whitney's actual godmother was none other than the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin. It's Aretha-- not Dionne-- who appears in the totally awesome, totally 80s “How Will I Know” video.
- Hal David-- the guy who wrote the lyrics to "Do You Know the Way to San Jose"-- was stationed near San Jose during World War II.
- We discuss some sports teams with questionable names, including the San Jose Earthquakes, the Colorado Avalanche (Jake mistakenly calls them a soccer team, but they play hockey), the Chicago Fire FC, the Miami Heat and the Houston Colt .45s (now the Astros).
